[00:00:00] Speaker A: Make, make it nerdy.
Make it nerdy.
Make, make it nerdy.
High five to anybody who knows the theme song. Right there.
[00:00:14] Speaker B: Good job. It's fitting for the occasion, of course.
[00:00:16] Speaker C: Welcome to Make It Nerdy. Guys. I'm Marshall.
[00:00:19] Speaker A: I'm Ian.
[00:00:20] Speaker D: I'm Anthony.
[00:00:21] Speaker E: I'm Thane.
[00:00:22] Speaker B: I'm Kyle.
[00:00:22] Speaker C: We're gonna be talking about a bunch of nerdy things today, and we're gonna kick it off with what our topic is. It's Star Wars. Guys, may the Fourth be with you.
[00:00:30] Speaker A: Yeah, we missed it by a couple days.
[00:00:31] Speaker C: And with your spirit is the right answer.
[00:00:34] Speaker A: Did you know?
[00:00:35] Speaker B: Thank you.
[00:00:36] Speaker A: So the Proper Way was May 4th be with you. Return of the 5th. But Amazon had Star Wars Day as Return of the Sixth.
[00:00:45] Speaker D: I saw that.
[00:00:46] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
[00:00:47] Speaker A: Which. It's like a different version of having a lisp I couldn't actually figure out. I couldn't actually figure out. I was like, that's kind of a clever way. But you're like, I didn't hate it.
[00:00:59] Speaker D: And why not find a way to cheapen and.
[00:01:01] Speaker A: But I just like that deal more. May the return of the fifth.
I just like the lisp version, I think more.
[00:01:10] Speaker B: Right.
[00:01:10] Speaker C: Well, guys, let's hear. We got a couple questions of the day. And. And I'm gonna. We're gonna rip off a couple here. Rip.
[00:01:17] Speaker A: Rip.
[00:01:18] Speaker C: First one we got on here. If you could choose a Star wars character to be your roommate, who would it be?
[00:01:23] Speaker B: Can I choose Padme?
[00:01:30] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:01:30] Speaker B: All right, all right, all right, all right.
[00:01:32] Speaker A: Because if you don't.
[00:01:35] Speaker B: All right, fine. BB8.
[00:01:36] Speaker A: BB8. Is that your actual pick?
[00:01:40] Speaker B: What was my actual pick?
[00:01:41] Speaker A: I know my actual pick. Can I just pick?
[00:01:43] Speaker B: I'm going with that blind dude from Rogue One.
[00:01:47] Speaker A: I'm one with the Force, and the Forces with me.
[00:01:49] Speaker B: Yeah, he's pretty cool. And he's also blind, so.
[00:01:51] Speaker D: Did you know that was. The actors worry about that. To be a blind guy.
[00:01:53] Speaker A: To be a blind guy.
[00:01:54] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:01:54] Speaker A: That's kind of sweet.
[00:01:55] Speaker D: That's pretty cool.
[00:01:56] Speaker B: The things you learn by listening to make it nerdy.
[00:01:58] Speaker A: I would have Obi Wan.
[00:02:01] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:02:02] Speaker A: I just think you'd be super chill. If I'm gonna actually have a roommate. I don't.
[00:02:05] Speaker C: Like, I could see him to.
[00:02:08] Speaker A: Yeah, I just feel like he would be.
[00:02:10] Speaker B: He feels like he'd be judgmental. He's so, like.
He's super parental.
[00:02:14] Speaker A: Come in late. What were you doing with the younglings?
[00:02:19] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:02:20] Speaker D: Why would he have to ask that?
[00:02:22] Speaker A: Because I teach students.
I teach younglings.
[00:02:26] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:02:26] Speaker A: Come on, guys, this is a family.
[00:02:29] Speaker D: Friendly context of younglings and Obi Wan finding videos of younglings. It's not a good.
[00:02:35] Speaker A: Okay, Anthony, who would you pick.
[00:02:40] Speaker B: Man?
[00:02:40] Speaker D: I was hoping.
[00:02:41] Speaker A: I'm gonna give you Jar Jar Banks then, because you couldn't.
[00:02:44] Speaker C: Oh, problematic. I didn't know that they were making fun of a certain type of race when they had Jar Jar Binks. That's what many of my Filipino friends have told me.
[00:02:55] Speaker A: Really?
[00:02:56] Speaker C: I didn't know that. That's my white privilege showing.
[00:02:58] Speaker D: I'm gonna say K2. So.
Also from Rogue One.
[00:03:01] Speaker A: Wow, he is so moody.
[00:03:06] Speaker C: Thane.
[00:03:07] Speaker B: It's a good one.
[00:03:08] Speaker D: He's snarky.
[00:03:09] Speaker B: It's like a roommate that you can turn off with a slit with the flip of a switch.
[00:03:15] Speaker D: And a built in.
[00:03:15] Speaker C: I'm sure you could do the same to Padme. Go ahead, Thane.
[00:03:20] Speaker E: R2. R2D2.
[00:03:22] Speaker A: I was with you guys in the robots.
[00:03:24] Speaker C: Guys, it's Jabba the Hut. What a pillow.
Jabba the Hutt is gonna be the best pillow I've ever had.
[00:03:30] Speaker A: I just imagine you coming home.
You have to have the little guy with him, though.
[00:03:40] Speaker B: Oh, no.
[00:03:41] Speaker C: Guys, just a little quick one here. Our second question we had on here is what karaoke song do you think Yoda would sing?
[00:03:49] Speaker B: And be it Latinos, I was thinking he'd. He'd probably rock.
[00:03:58] Speaker A: I'm beginning to feel like a rap God.
[00:04:05] Speaker D: Is amazing. I don't know if anybody could top that.
[00:04:08] Speaker A: I would just want to listen to him try to sing Bohemian Rhapsody.
I just would be.
[00:04:13] Speaker C: Real life isn't.
I think I feel like we could just leave it at that. Those are some great ones. Those are some great ones.
Guys, today we're going to talk a lot of Star Wars. We. We want to hear all the Star wars nerdom that we're going to have. But more importantly, we need to hear from some of our listeners that gave us some feedback on the last pod.
One of our listeners even told us that our draft was so ins. Inferior that he had a list at the winner then of no picks that were taken in our sidekick draft. Kyle, elaborate. Tell us who this sad soul is that thinks that they have a better list than all of us.
[00:04:58] Speaker B: Oh, okay, okay.
[00:04:59] Speaker A: And what was this list?
[00:05:00] Speaker B: Right, right, right, right, right. Yeah. So I got feedback from a couple of people and they were pretty excited about the episode.
Two votes for Ian's team.
[00:05:09] Speaker A: Hey.
[00:05:11] Speaker B: Both said easy choice easily Hermione and dominated last.
[00:05:16] Speaker D: Somebody said Thane's got.
[00:05:18] Speaker C: I had three for Thane. Yeah, just of the people that said something to me, like, off three for fame.
[00:05:27] Speaker D: There goes that lisp again.
[00:05:28] Speaker B: All right, so one of my brothers sent me his.
His list and it was a lineup of five, none of which we picked. And I actually thought this was amazing. I can't believe none of these were picked. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna hit you with them right now. What my younger brother said is his team would be. Would first consist of Obi Wan Kenobi number one.
[00:05:51] Speaker A: If you're gonna choose Han I I, we can allow Obi Wan.
[00:05:55] Speaker B: Okay.
Bean from Ender's game.
[00:05:59] Speaker A: Oh, that's a loss for him.
[00:06:02] Speaker B: I love this one. I love this one. I love Barney from Half Life.
Did anybody ever play that game?
[00:06:09] Speaker A: I.
[00:06:10] Speaker D: A little bit. I don't remember.
[00:06:11] Speaker B: Barney is the ultimate, like, sidekick who accompanies you, solves every problem.
[00:06:18] Speaker C: No, Barney's a dinosaur.
[00:06:20] Speaker B: No, no, no, no. This is good.
If you haven't played the game, it doesn't hit. But if you have played the game, it's like genius. Like, he's the ultimate sidekick. Gromit was his next pick. Grommet from Wallace and Gromit.
[00:06:31] Speaker A: Oh, okay.
[00:06:32] Speaker B: I dig that.
[00:06:32] Speaker A: I can dig that.
[00:06:33] Speaker B: Last Dr. Brown from back to the Future.
[00:06:35] Speaker A: Oh, Doc Brown's good. You know, that just kind of remained remind of, like, video games. No one even said Clap Trap or Clank.
[00:06:42] Speaker D: I was. Or Dexter when he started.
[00:06:45] Speaker C: Jack and Dexter.
[00:06:46] Speaker E: Yeah, Untapped reason.
[00:06:47] Speaker D: Untapped.
[00:06:48] Speaker C: Yeah, we, we left a lot on this shelf. We'll revisit that. Maybe we're gonna have a video game episode for that. I'd like our listeners to kind of give us a little feedback on what they would feel like are some things and topics that they want to hear from.
[00:07:02] Speaker D: Just so Kyle can shut it down.
[00:07:03] Speaker A: I actually had a co worker.
I had a co worker of mine. Gave me his like, whole, whole deal afterwards. The Donnie Donald Best.
He. He came basically just shot back and gave like a whole, like, spiel of like, his own origin story. Oh, it was very fascinating.
[00:07:21] Speaker D: Cool.
[00:07:21] Speaker A: He's a very big Power Rangers fan.
[00:07:23] Speaker C: Oh, wow.
[00:07:24] Speaker A: Special shout out to Donnie because he will wear, like, masks at school of like, random nerdy things.
[00:07:33] Speaker D: That's cool.
[00:07:34] Speaker A: In, like, a good way. Like, he had. He has had Power Rangers masks on.
[00:07:37] Speaker C: Sick.
[00:07:38] Speaker A: He's had, like, Vader for, like, Star Wars Day. He's done Black Panther. It's kind of funny.
[00:07:45] Speaker C: I think I had a few different people reach out and say that they were just vibing to hearing our Fandom origin story, which is really fun. I had a buddy of mine, Justin Wormsley, reach out and say he was thinking of what he would say for his own next time he sees me. And then I had a couple that one specific person was angry at. Our pod used to work with him at Meijer. I haven't talked to him in, okay, six or seven years. And I posted it on my Instagram story or about our first pod episode.
And he messaged me. I haven't talked to him in six, seven years.
Where's Casey Jones in the sidekick draft hall of Fame from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
And I thought, wow, like, he was pretty actively angry. And I was, like, out of nowhere for us to be Meyer coworkers to get angry. I respected it, to be honest with you. He reciprocated the energy that used to be our break room, where we would just talk about the Dark Knight trailer for an hour. I.
[00:08:44] Speaker A: This is, like, really funny. Just, like, listening to, like, the different, like, oh, this list is better. And it's like, I have people. I'm like, who are those people? I just think it's fun.
That nerdum is very large, you know?
[00:08:57] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:08:57] Speaker A: And, like, you can be very, very nerdy in a lot of different ways.
[00:09:02] Speaker C: Time to talk about something that isn't subjective. And that is what the objective number one overall draft pick is going to be in our draft, guys. It's going to become a theme.
Used to be the point after and not used to. It's still there. It's still kicking NFL seasons right around the corner. We love a good draft. The pick is in.
And we are going to be drafting amongst these 20 Star wars movies and shows, of which I'm going to be giving you the pool of what these 20 movies and shows are. So that at home, I want you to think, what would be your pick? What would be your top four? Okay. Because each of us are going to get our four.
We have Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Force Awakens, Last Jedi, the Best, Rise of the Skywalker, Rogue One, Solo, the Clone Wars, Bad Batch Rebels, Mandalorian, Book of, Boba Fett, Obi Wan Kenobi and Or Ahsoka and Acolyte.
[00:09:57] Speaker D: You know, just because you're the head.
[00:09:58] Speaker C: Of this doesn't mean not the head of it. This is a rule of two.
[00:10:02] Speaker A: Who's the number one? Who's on the clock? Who's the number one?
[00:10:06] Speaker B: We can do. We can do four rounds if we wanted to.
And listeners, again, you're gonna have to give us feedback later and see who had the best lineup of the ultimate Star wars media that you would enjoy watching.
[00:10:17] Speaker C: And last week our order went Anthony, Thane, Ian, Kyle Marshall. And today it's going to just two becomes one, three becomes two, and so on, so forth. So we have Thane, Ian, Kyle Marshall, Anthony, and it will be Snake. And with the first overall draft pick, Vane selects.
[00:10:35] Speaker A: Don't mess this up.
[00:10:38] Speaker D: Ian is absolutely convinced there is only one.
[00:10:40] Speaker A: There is only one room.
Well, I'm really hoping you mess it up so I can take it.
[00:10:48] Speaker E: There's one for me. And it is the Empire Strikes No.
[00:10:54] Speaker A: You did choose correctly. You chose correctly, though.
[00:10:58] Speaker B: Good choice.
[00:10:58] Speaker D: I knew he was gonna.
[00:10:59] Speaker A: That is.
[00:11:00] Speaker C: Explain. That's impossible.
[00:11:01] Speaker A: Explain.
[00:11:02] Speaker C: Tell us why that's number one.
[00:11:04] Speaker E: For me, it's a lot of sentimental. I like. This was like a very clear vision in my head of Star Wars. Whenever I think of it, it's just like the first movie I really remember of Star wars seeing. I reenacted the Hoth battle scene all the time with the backpack and the, you know, I loved the, you know, Vader and Luke meeting and chopping off his hand and, you know, was it. You're not my father, Boba Fett was.
[00:11:36] Speaker D: Was he introduced in that one?
[00:11:37] Speaker A: No, it's not possible.
Did you know when they filmed that scene, they did not tell Mark Hamill that line.
He thought it was going to be something else, like, I killed your father. So when he actually said, I am your father, that was the first time Mark Hamill had actually heard that. And so the reaction you see in the movie is like, legitimate.
[00:12:04] Speaker E: His face is great facial act.
[00:12:06] Speaker B: It's incredible.
[00:12:07] Speaker A: I'm glad. I'm glad that you understood the assignment.
[00:12:12] Speaker B: You've passed the test.
[00:12:13] Speaker A: Because when it comes to, like, Star Wars, Empire is the most significant.
All of them.
[00:12:21] Speaker D: I think that's widely.
[00:12:22] Speaker C: All right, Ian. It's number one, apparently for you, and it was my number one. Let's hear yours. Second overall draft pick.
[00:12:29] Speaker A: Empire might be the most culturally Star wars significant. I'm gonna pick the actual best Star wars movie, and that's Rogue One. Whoa.
[00:12:40] Speaker B: Rogue One goes number two.
[00:12:42] Speaker A: That is the absolute best in Star wars movie.
[00:12:47] Speaker D: Come on, Marshall, let's go.
[00:12:49] Speaker C: Yeah. It's a movie about a plot hole.
[00:12:53] Speaker A: It doesn't matter about what the movie like.
[00:12:55] Speaker C: Oh, it's a. It doesn't matter what it's about.
[00:12:58] Speaker D: That was a great cinematic.
[00:13:00] Speaker B: We are in round one and you're already pooping on these shows. We're in round one.
[00:13:05] Speaker C: I'll just. Marshall, you asked my opinion. Like I'm going to tell you it. But I'll also say that that was my initial and I was entrenched in that spot. And the more and more I've watched it over the years, the more I've actually grown to like it. So I can respect it. But there is. It's. It's a gaping hole that I see in the movie as a whole.
No pun intended.
And it just d. It. It resonates with me throughout the movie. I have a hard time getting past that. But obviously it's a great movie. It's well shot. It's the best Darth Vader scene of any movie.
[00:13:39] Speaker D: Oh my God. So good.
[00:13:41] Speaker C: Period.
[00:13:41] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh.
[00:13:42] Speaker C: I think it's actually probably the number you're talking about.
[00:13:45] Speaker A: Don't choke on your aspirations.
[00:13:47] Speaker C: No, I'm talking about the greatest lightsaber Darth Vader scene where he put somebody on the ceiling and of cuts him in half with his lightsaber.
[00:13:54] Speaker D: It's number one as he kept watching.
[00:13:57] Speaker A: What I love about the way that movie ends and A New Hope starts. It literally is like seamless. This, this, like this just finished and this one is starting. And so when you re watch A New Hope after watching that, it's hilarious because he gets on the ship and he's like, where are the plans? What are you talking about? We don't have the plans.
Bull crap, lady.
[00:14:20] Speaker C: Are you serious?
[00:14:21] Speaker A: I just saw you fly away. Like, what are you talking about?
[00:14:26] Speaker B: Priceless.
[00:14:27] Speaker C: Kyle, let's hear your pick.
[00:14:28] Speaker B: Number three.
My first pick.
I thought long hard about this and I'm actually glad with my. I'm happy with my position because it was important to me that I ended up with this, this film.
I'm going Phantom Menace.
[00:14:43] Speaker D: Okay, okay, okay, okay.
[00:14:44] Speaker B: I could appreciate Phantom Menace. You guys debuted in 1999. This is prime time for us as youths be having our minds blown in the theaters. A double bladed lightsaber.
[00:15:01] Speaker D: With.
[00:15:02] Speaker A: You have the best song. You have great. My favorite second best villain in Star Wars.
[00:15:08] Speaker B: You guys, you guys. Yes. It's incredible.
[00:15:11] Speaker C: We've got Darth Maul is. He's the. I feel like kind of like the secret love of like all Star wars people. People are like, yeah, yeah, it's a. Those are other great movies. But Darth Maul.
[00:15:27] Speaker E: We'Re getting them all show. Yeah, yeah, 2027.
[00:15:29] Speaker C: I'm all ready for it. And it's the guy who did his voice for all the Clone wars episodes that he was in his. He's returning.
[00:15:36] Speaker A: I love.
[00:15:37] Speaker B: That's amazing. I love it. You got prime Ewan McGregor. You got prime Natalie Portman. You got prime Liam Neeson. Did we forget Liam Neeson is in this day? We forget. This is Samuel L. Jackson's debut in the Star Wars. Like that movie Purple Saber.
[00:15:52] Speaker C: Saber.
[00:15:55] Speaker B: The movie's got everything. And I. You could gripe about it, but like pod racing. That freaking movie.
[00:16:01] Speaker C: Pod racing as a video game could be top five, dude.
[00:16:04] Speaker B: When he. When they. When they emerge from the Gas and the Destroyer, the droidas show up and they're like, oh, my gosh, we're losing our minds.
[00:16:12] Speaker A: The only problem this movie has is you. Yippee.
[00:16:20] Speaker B: It's. I feel like that's the closest that we got to what like our parents generation experienced when they saw Star wars as kids. Like, we got to see Phantom Menace's kids. At least. I'm speaking for myself here. And like, that's. That's the closest I could get to.
[00:16:31] Speaker A: Their feelings do age well.
I feel like I've been able to go back and rewatch them. I'll give you, like, appreciate them a little bit more than I did in the past.
[00:16:40] Speaker E: One of the best lightsaber duels.
[00:16:42] Speaker D: That's my favorite.
[00:16:43] Speaker B: Oh, it's got to be up there.
[00:16:45] Speaker D: I think that's my favorite.
[00:16:45] Speaker B: Yeah, it's.
[00:16:46] Speaker A: It's incredible. All right, let's go on to Marshall.
[00:16:50] Speaker C: Revenge of the Sith.
[00:16:52] Speaker A: There it is. Wow.
[00:16:53] Speaker C: So number one for me was Phantom Menace.
Number one was f. Number one for me. Number one for me. That's the first movie I saw in theaters.
[00:17:02] Speaker B: Is it really?
[00:17:03] Speaker C: That's the first movie I saw in theaters ever. Movie ever.
[00:17:06] Speaker D: That's amazing.
[00:17:07] Speaker C: Oh, I'm sorry. I did see Dinosaurs, but that was like, as a little, little kid. So I don't really count that. This is more like teenage first movie. Like, I saw that as like a.
[00:17:16] Speaker B: Five year old debuted in 99. Dude, you were like four.
[00:17:20] Speaker C: I saw it in theaters. Yeah, yeah, it was so much fun. That, like, that was the first one that. Yeah, it was great. But Revenge of the Sith hits so hard for me because I never saw the originals.
I. I never went and watched them. So.
[00:17:37] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:17:38] Speaker C: I. I am.
Yeah.
[00:17:40] Speaker A: Again, that movie.
[00:17:41] Speaker C: I am. What? Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul is like the. You order, you argue the order of which you watch them. I watch them in the sequential.
[00:17:51] Speaker D: So.
So how do you feel about that? Like, the progression? Because I've actually.
[00:17:56] Speaker C: I Was like, how did everybody not know who Darth Vader was?
Freaking idiots. I literally was like, this is a big deal. And, like.
Yeah, it was. It was. It was like, people left the movie theater with their, like. Like, it was end game, Empire Broke people or Infinity War. Really?
[00:18:12] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:18:12] Speaker A: Empire like, set the bar for, like, you know, everything in terms of like, even, like, other franchises. Sequels.
[00:18:22] Speaker B: Right.
[00:18:22] Speaker A: They had to be that level.
[00:18:24] Speaker B: Yeah, so we're told. Because none of us are old enough to have been there, of course.
[00:18:28] Speaker C: Anthony, let's hear your pick.
[00:18:30] Speaker D: All right, so Rogue One was mine. Was my first pick. If I'm honest.
I think I'm gonna have to.
I think I'm have to go with the Mandalorian.
[00:18:39] Speaker B: Okay, how is this happening? We did round one, and we lost only one from the original trilogy.
[00:18:45] Speaker C: Go ahead, Anthony. Let's get your next pick, because I need to hear why this is. I. I'm, like, praying something falls to me.
[00:18:54] Speaker D: I forgot.
[00:18:54] Speaker A: I already know what you're gonna take.
There's a very.
[00:18:59] Speaker D: So you guys.
[00:18:59] Speaker C: There's a pretty big one.
[00:19:01] Speaker D: I've always been, like, a huge good guy fan, so when the good guys won in Return of the Jedi, that was my. That was my, like, wow, happy place moment.
[00:19:10] Speaker A: You're taking Return.
[00:19:11] Speaker D: Return of the Jedi.
[00:19:12] Speaker A: Yeah, it's great.
[00:19:14] Speaker B: It's got. Little teddy bear.
[00:19:16] Speaker A: You got e walk.
[00:19:17] Speaker D: I mean, it was just. I. I mean, Luke came in all. You know, he was a badass when he walked into Jabba's palace.
[00:19:25] Speaker A: Let's rewind to the beginning of that movie. Movie with Leia.
Come on. Absolute classic.
[00:19:33] Speaker B: Watch out. Yeah.
[00:19:34] Speaker E: Swinging around.
[00:19:35] Speaker D: Well, I mean.
[00:19:36] Speaker A: All right, Marshall, I already know what you're gonna.
[00:19:37] Speaker C: I wanted to find your fantasy update voice from the commission's wife. Remember that time for Kyle's fantasy update? Just to put that when you were talking. When you were talking about Leia. All right, with the next pick.
[00:19:51] Speaker A: I know what it is. I know what it is.
[00:19:52] Speaker C: You want to say it on the count of three, see if you think you know.
[00:19:55] Speaker A: I don't want to. Because I don't want to spoil what I'm going to take. If it's still there.
[00:19:58] Speaker B: Oh, I'm about to get it.
[00:20:00] Speaker C: The next pick is Andor.
[00:20:02] Speaker B: Oh, really?
[00:20:03] Speaker A: And.
[00:20:04] Speaker C: Or is. That's what I will say. The best.
So I picked Phantom of the Menace as my number one because.
[00:20:14] Speaker D: Ignoring nostalgia.
[00:20:15] Speaker C: Hold on. Yeah. Like, it is absolutely nostalgic.
Revenge of the Sith nostalgic. Andor is. Is. I think you said it. The best.
It's the best TV show that just happens to take place in a Star wars universe.
[00:20:32] Speaker D: That's my. My opinion of Rogue One.
[00:20:34] Speaker C: Yeah. But it is absolutely cinema.
[00:20:37] Speaker B: Andor is so good.
[00:20:39] Speaker C: I'm in the second season right now. I'm four episodes, and I watched them all last night. I couldn't stop. The only reason I stopped is because I fell asleep and was late to work because I didn't set my alarm.
[00:20:49] Speaker E: Like, it's incredible.
[00:20:51] Speaker C: Amazing.
[00:20:51] Speaker B: It's good.
[00:20:52] Speaker C: It's great.
[00:20:53] Speaker A: Solid.
[00:20:53] Speaker C: It's a. It holds my attention the entire time. I can't. I. It's one of the few things I won't watch with the phone on me.
[00:21:00] Speaker B: Who would have thought.
[00:21:01] Speaker C: I don't have my phone on me.
[00:21:02] Speaker D: No, disagree.
[00:21:03] Speaker B: That's incredible. And who would have thought, like, there's not a Jedi. There's not a lightsaber in sight in this whole series. And it's still just good.
[00:21:11] Speaker A: Incredible, classic, like, espionage type stuff.
[00:21:15] Speaker B: Yeah, good stuff.
[00:21:16] Speaker E: How does a rebellion.
[00:21:17] Speaker C: I wonder who's going to get stuck.
[00:21:18] Speaker D: With Solo, which was all Andor. I mean, even in that movie, like, that's all Andor was. And he really showed, like, the dirty work of being spy. Even worse movies on the quote unquote.
[00:21:29] Speaker E: The sacrifice.
[00:21:30] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:21:31] Speaker C: All right, what do we got?
[00:21:31] Speaker D: Kyle, you shot that informant.
[00:21:33] Speaker B: I don't know how this fell to me, but I. I get a new hope. I'm getting a new hope in the second round. Okay, seriously, you guys. A new hope falls to the second round. This could have gone number one. Overall. This is a serious fall.
[00:21:46] Speaker A: It's the.
It's the one that started the whole thing off, man.
[00:21:49] Speaker B: Everything started with this. This is the original. Everything else after it is imitating is in its shadow. And I'm getting it in the second round, y' all. I am gonna win this challenge. If anybody team, they're out of their mind.
[00:22:02] Speaker D: Wait, so what. What would you knock out? What would you knock out out of these other picks?
[00:22:07] Speaker A: No, no, no, no. There is.
[00:22:09] Speaker D: I want to hear. He was.
[00:22:10] Speaker B: Follow this.
[00:22:10] Speaker D: Like, it should be in the first round.
[00:22:12] Speaker B: Follow this up.
[00:22:12] Speaker A: I will follow it up. The animated Clone wars show. I will take that place.
[00:22:17] Speaker D: That was that. No, I agree with you.
[00:22:19] Speaker A: Have you watched it?
[00:22:20] Speaker D: I agree with you.
[00:22:21] Speaker B: I watched the first episode.
[00:22:22] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[00:22:26] Speaker D: There are some.
[00:22:26] Speaker C: You call you and your fans.
[00:22:31] Speaker B: I can't do it.
[00:22:33] Speaker D: My kids. My kids will watch them, and I'm. I'm watching with them, and I'm like, oh, that one hit hard.
[00:22:38] Speaker A: There are so many things that have Come out of that show that are now officially like that shows canon that have spawned other shows.
[00:22:47] Speaker B: So I'm told. Okay. So I'm told. Yes. Rick was lecturing me about this at length yesterday. So shout out to Rick. You're validated by everybody else here.
[00:22:58] Speaker D: It brought back the voice of Sam Witwer, who is the voice of Starkiller and Force Unleashed. He did a bunch of. He did a bunch of the voice actors.
[00:23:07] Speaker A: The show is honestly, like.
It does such a good job of showing you Anakin's progression.
[00:23:14] Speaker D: Correct.
[00:23:15] Speaker C: It makes it feel so much worse for the fall.
[00:23:17] Speaker D: Right? Yeah, that's exactly.
[00:23:19] Speaker A: This is why I was actually. I thought for sure that show was going to be gone before it got to me.
[00:23:23] Speaker C: I'm stunned. It's still there.
Anthony didn't take it.
[00:23:28] Speaker A: I thought one of you was gonna take it.
[00:23:29] Speaker C: It's gonna be my day. It was gonna be my next. I was hoping nobody just brought it up.
[00:23:33] Speaker D: I thought about it.
[00:23:33] Speaker A: I saw it.
[00:23:34] Speaker C: Thane, you got two in the holster, buddy.
Hear? Back to back like the COVID A Lethal weapon back like Jordan. 96.97.
[00:23:46] Speaker E: Well, I think I'm gonna take.
For my next pick.
I think I gotta go Attack of the Clones.
[00:23:55] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:23:55] Speaker B: All right. All right. There we go. You know why?
[00:23:58] Speaker A: There's a common thread. It's Natalie Portman.
We all know what scene I'm talking about.
[00:24:06] Speaker C: The sand, it gets everywhere.
[00:24:11] Speaker E: It's coarse and rough.
[00:24:13] Speaker A: It gets everywhere.
[00:24:15] Speaker E: So great.
So, yeah, that. And then I got the next one.
Let's see. What am I gonna do here? I think I'm gonna go.
[00:24:25] Speaker D: No pressure.
[00:24:27] Speaker E: This might be controversial, but I actually kind of like solo.
[00:24:31] Speaker A: Okay.
Solo was one that I was coming. Solo was on my list. I actually really enjoyed that movie as well.
[00:24:39] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:24:39] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:24:40] Speaker D: I thought it was.
[00:24:40] Speaker B: All right. Reach.
[00:24:44] Speaker C: That is what we in the business call picking Will Levis in the first round.
For all of my Tennessee Titans fans out there, Ian, let's see if you can follow up and draft Maron Lynch.
[00:24:57] Speaker A: Ashoka. I'll take Ashokas.
[00:24:59] Speaker B: Okay.
Very cool.
[00:25:01] Speaker D: Ahsoka.
[00:25:02] Speaker B: Anthony. Don't pick what I'm picking. Come on.
[00:25:04] Speaker A: I thought the actress, by the way.
[00:25:06] Speaker D: No, it's Rosario.
[00:25:08] Speaker A: Yeah. She was phenomenal. She was great.
[00:25:12] Speaker B: Yes.
Okay. With my third pick, I am loving my team, by the way.
My slate is awesome and I feel.
[00:25:21] Speaker A: Like I'm pretty happy with mine.
[00:25:23] Speaker B: I'm into mine. I'm going Force Awakens.
[00:25:25] Speaker C: That.
[00:25:26] Speaker D: That was probably good.
[00:25:29] Speaker B: I think it is great. I think Daisy Ridley is so good. I think the ca was really good. I think the. The comeback of Harrison Ford and everything. I think the debut of Kylo Ren as a character is really strong. I think it opened with a lot of mystery and a lot of, like. Everybody was happy after that film. Killing to Ryan Johnson, his dad, Kylo Ren Killing. It's dramatic, it's nostalgic. The actors are great. The story is fun. It's a little cliche and. And a direct copy of another one, but we don't really care. We like the first one, so you give us more.
[00:25:59] Speaker D: I would.
[00:25:59] Speaker B: I would take.
[00:26:00] Speaker D: I would have give it a pass as, like, setting the stage for the new generation, like, you know, if it was allowed to progress.
[00:26:06] Speaker B: Right.
[00:26:06] Speaker D: As I think they were originally intending until Ryan Johnson stepped on the field. And then this is where Marshall and I answered.
[00:26:13] Speaker B: That's not what we're talking about.
I'm just talking Force Awakens. So we're good? We are good.
[00:26:19] Speaker D: I thought it was a good setup.
[00:26:20] Speaker B: Thank you.
[00:26:21] Speaker C: You're good on the next pick.
[00:26:23] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:26:24] Speaker C: Take it away. Well, it's a good time to take it.
Obi Wan Kenobi.
[00:26:29] Speaker A: Yeah, that's a good one.
[00:26:30] Speaker D: Yep, That's a good one.
[00:26:31] Speaker C: It's a good, solid Obi Wan Kenobi hit every inch that anyone could want of Ewan McGregor being Obi Wan Kenobi again. I love when you said prime, Ewan McGregor.
That's prime to me. That is his best performance.
It is Anakin's best performance.
[00:26:54] Speaker D: Hayden nailed it.
[00:26:56] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:26:57] Speaker C: It was flawless.
You didn't kill Anakin.
[00:27:00] Speaker B: I didn't.
[00:27:01] Speaker C: Love Story was the thing that I don't. That I like. If you're gonna say that people can't get stuck on Rogue One being a plot hole, and I swear to God, if you say it, I'm gonna lose my mind and we're gonna have a football podcast in a minute.
[00:27:14] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:27:14] Speaker C: If you say, well, I don't like it because they say in the one movie I haven't seen you for long, long time, but really it was only four and a half months.
I hate when people give me that stupid point about this movie. And you made a three and a half hour movie about a plot hole.
[00:27:31] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:27:32] Speaker C: And you're good with that being the best movie? Anthony.
[00:27:35] Speaker A: Three and a half.
[00:27:36] Speaker D: I never said any of that.
[00:27:37] Speaker C: Want to take it out on you? Be my punching bag.
[00:27:41] Speaker B: Nobody here says that.
[00:27:42] Speaker D: That's.
[00:27:45] Speaker A: Anthony. You're up next, man.
[00:27:47] Speaker C: I'm going to fight you.
[00:27:48] Speaker D: So. All right, let's go to the bare bones here. Yeah. I really. I really, really, really wanted Boba Fett to be, like, my show, and. And I. I feel like it dropped the ball. So who were the creatures or the.
[00:28:03] Speaker C: People that he went around with?
[00:28:04] Speaker D: The Tuscan Raiders.
[00:28:05] Speaker C: Oh, my. The Tuscan Raiders. The way he said Tuscan made me, like, made me want to be a little bit, like, kind of one of a little.
[00:28:14] Speaker D: All right, so I'm going between.
I'm gonna go Bad batch.
[00:28:19] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:28:21] Speaker C: I'm stunned you didn't take Rebels. You're back to back picks here. Let's see if you want to take Rebels.
[00:28:27] Speaker D: Oh, I am back to back. Yeah, I'm getting Rebels, too.
[00:28:29] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh.
[00:28:31] Speaker D: I forgot I was back to back.
[00:28:33] Speaker A: Okay, you just got influenced.
[00:28:35] Speaker D: No, I was. No, those. I mean, I said out loud that I was going between those two. Okay, so Bad Batch and Rebels worked.
[00:28:42] Speaker C: Out perfect for me. Boys, the last pick, please take what.
[00:28:46] Speaker A: I hope you take.
[00:28:47] Speaker C: It's the acolyte.
[00:28:49] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:28:49] Speaker C: The acolyte grew on me. I'm pro who watched it here all the way through.
I really, really liked it. And I. I'm actually refraining from spoiling one of the huge characters that was shown in it, because for not only YouTube, but for all those who haven't seen it, it's a big deal. And the fact that it doesn't get a second season really hurts me.
But there's a. You all thought I was going to take Last Jedi a lot earlier.
You're stunned I didn't take it now.
[00:29:23] Speaker D: But the reason I am stunned that you didn't.
[00:29:26] Speaker C: Well, one. I want one of you to be stuck with it, because secretly, it's like, it's my player. It's like it's. I coached him in college, and you get him in the pros, so I take all the success that he gets.
[00:29:37] Speaker D: That is cruel punishment.
[00:29:39] Speaker C: One of the reasons I like accolade is because it's so different. It is absolutely Star wars taking a risk. It isn't a new hope wrapped in tinfoil and another kind of shiny title.
It's Last Jedi in TV form to me.
That's why I liked it.
[00:29:56] Speaker D: Yep. That's what I.
In TV form.
[00:29:59] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:30:00] Speaker A: All right, Kyle.
[00:30:00] Speaker C: That's why you don't have good taste. Go ahead, everybody.
Let's hear it.
[00:30:04] Speaker B: Are we doing four rounds?
[00:30:06] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:30:07] Speaker B: Okay, so it's back to me.
[00:30:08] Speaker A: Yeah, it's back to you.
[00:30:09] Speaker B: My pick again.
[00:30:10] Speaker D: Your last one, or. Yeah, your last one.
[00:30:12] Speaker B: Okay. There's a lot of good stuff on here. I could go.
I. I want to make a great team. I want people to vote for my team. So I'm considering. I don't care.
[00:30:23] Speaker D: Anybody else's opinion.
[00:30:24] Speaker B: All right, I'm going Last Jedi. I'm going with it. I think it has redeeming qualities. And if granted, I've only seen.
I haven't seen it since it was in theater.
[00:30:33] Speaker A: That would have been the one I would have taken. That would have been the one I would seriously like.
[00:30:37] Speaker B: The. The Snoke battle scene in that room is. Is a redeeming part.
I think that the development of the Kylo Ren character is strong. And this is all big on character development. This is all fantastic. I think that there's something else really good in that movie. I think Mark Hamill played his part.
[00:30:58] Speaker D: You're leaving off two thirds of the entire movie.
[00:31:00] Speaker B: That's okay.
[00:31:01] Speaker D: You only talked about the good third of the movie.
[00:31:04] Speaker B: Okay, that's fine. That's what I'm doing here. I'm making my case. I want people to vote for my team.
[00:31:08] Speaker C: Are you talking about that sick chasing.
[00:31:11] Speaker D: Not the slowest chase scene.
[00:31:14] Speaker C: Have you ever seen two snails chase each other? It is.
I'm telling you. I'm. I'm sweating thinking about it.
Speaking of sweating thinking about it, we're gonna talk about. Mr. Irrelevant is gonna be left to Thane. Thane. I don't want to influence what Kyle's or what Ian's pick is gonna be, but either you are left with the Tuscan Raiders in the book of Boba Fett or. Or you are left with the rise of Skywalker and shirtless.
[00:31:43] Speaker D: I'd rather have that huge chested Kylo.
[00:31:46] Speaker C: Ren looking at Rey through a vision.
[00:31:50] Speaker D: I'd rather have that.
[00:31:50] Speaker C: Ian, with your pick.
[00:31:52] Speaker E: Let's see.
[00:31:53] Speaker A: Oh, God. These are both not great. Cuz I have tried to rewatch Rise of Skywalker and it was hard, but it is better than Boba Fett. So I will take Rise of Skywalker here.
[00:32:09] Speaker E: All right, man.
[00:32:10] Speaker B: The hating on the book of Boba Fett. I didn't think it was that bad. I liked it better than Obi Wan.
[00:32:14] Speaker D: I. I think it just built. I think part of it was. I mean, it took a. It took Boba Fett. Like, if it was somebody else, maybe it would have had a chance.
[00:32:23] Speaker B: It felt like this old school, like, western series. Like. And I kind of like a lot.
[00:32:27] Speaker C: Of talk about western movies all the time.
[00:32:30] Speaker B: I like old western movies. Yeah, it felt kind of like that.
[00:32:32] Speaker D: But it took a clip Clint Eastwood and then like.
[00:32:36] Speaker A: Here'S my problem.
[00:32:38] Speaker B: Does he get to ride a rancor or something like that?
[00:32:40] Speaker A: Here's the problem that I have with Book of Boba Fett was that you're talking about it wanting to try to be like a Western, like a spaghetti Western.
[00:32:48] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:32:48] Speaker A: It was trying to do what the Mandalorian successfully did. The man Mando did. The Western feel absolutely hardcore.
[00:32:56] Speaker D: I agree.
[00:32:56] Speaker A: So that movie does like that show deserved to go in the first round, by the way. We didn't really talk about Mandalorian. We just kind of skipped over it. And I'm actually kind of annoyed that we skipped over the man Mandalorian, because it is in this current day and age, in the modern era of Star wars, it is the pinnacle of what it is.
[00:33:14] Speaker D: That's the one that took a chance and set the stage for all these other ones.
[00:33:19] Speaker A: Pedro Pascal has been brilliant.
[00:33:21] Speaker C: Papa Bill Burr.
[00:33:22] Speaker B: Bill Burr.
[00:33:23] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:33:23] Speaker B: Come on, Grogu.
[00:33:25] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:33:25] Speaker C: He acted the fine. Remember the first episode, like, when you. I want to see the child.
And you see it and you go.
[00:33:36] Speaker A: That'S a little Yoda.
[00:33:37] Speaker C: Is that actually, I don't know.
[00:33:38] Speaker A: His baby.
[00:33:40] Speaker C: So many. I was like Sebastian asking questions that day.
[00:33:42] Speaker A: So I just feel like Boba Fett was trying to, like, try to capture that same magic. And it missed for me.
[00:33:49] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:33:49] Speaker A: At least with Rise of Skywalker, I'm getting some, like, fun characters coming back. And I get to see Lando Calrissian come back. You know, that's cool.
You know, the opening scene's ridiculous. You know, I get, like, somehow Palpatine's back.
[00:34:06] Speaker B: I hate that.
[00:34:08] Speaker A: So stupid. That's some lazy. Some lazy writing that you're going to just cover that up.
[00:34:13] Speaker C: That if only Ryan Johnson could have done what he actually wanted to do.
[00:34:17] Speaker A: But which was at least the saving grace that I can give Rise of Skywalker is it is a product of no plan.
[00:34:26] Speaker D: And it's not my thing about Rise.
[00:34:28] Speaker A: It's not necessarily the actor's fault. It's not necessarily anybody's fault.
[00:34:33] Speaker D: It's all the Last Jedi's fault.
[00:34:35] Speaker B: Right.
[00:34:35] Speaker A: They had no game plan. It really is, though, because you have.
[00:34:40] Speaker C: To fill a can of soda on the floor of Queen's Church and walk away.
[00:34:44] Speaker A: The problem that Last Jedi created was the guy just wanted to create a moment of like, oh, we just killed Snoke. How sweet was that? And it's like, yeah, what are. Where do we go now next? Like, what do we do?
[00:34:57] Speaker B: Right.
[00:34:57] Speaker A: They literally had a completely separate director come in to try to fix it. And it was hard.
[00:35:04] Speaker D: I thought it would have been. I thought it would have been cool if they. I would have cast it in a whole different light if they actually were so bold to put Rey and Kylo Ren together forming a different.
Not. Not first order, not resistance.
[00:35:18] Speaker C: A middle.
[00:35:19] Speaker D: Yeah, like a middle.
Because in, like, Star Wars Legends, there's a lot of talk about, like, gray. Like, you don't always have to be dark side or light side. And I thought I was like, oh, they might go. And then they didn't.
[00:35:29] Speaker B: No.
[00:35:30] Speaker A: Either way, these last two were both hot messes as far as. Yeah.
[00:35:34] Speaker E: I have a curveball, though, because there's a show on here I like that we did not mention.
[00:35:38] Speaker B: Oh.
[00:35:39] Speaker E: That I would take over Boba Fett.
[00:35:42] Speaker D: Oh, okay.
[00:35:43] Speaker C: I don't know if I'm allowing it.
[00:35:44] Speaker A: It just came out.
[00:35:46] Speaker E: Skeleton Crew.
[00:35:47] Speaker D: Oh, we took that off right before. Right before the pod to get down to 20.
[00:35:52] Speaker C: Make your case for it.
[00:35:54] Speaker E: It's Goonies in Star wars in space.
It's. It's so fun. It's really fun. It's nostalgic.
[00:36:01] Speaker D: I say we. I said Jude Law.
[00:36:03] Speaker B: Of course we're gonna allow it. What are you talking about?
[00:36:06] Speaker E: Treasure hunting.
[00:36:08] Speaker D: Which. Holy crap.
[00:36:09] Speaker C: Is there a sloth, A movie with.
[00:36:12] Speaker D: Maybe a show with Boba Fett?
[00:36:16] Speaker C: Is this like a fell off a top?
[00:36:17] Speaker A: It's like a last minute trade.
[00:36:19] Speaker C: Crap.
[00:36:20] Speaker A: Anybody want to trade? By the way?
[00:36:22] Speaker C: I don't know if you have much to trade. You're Mr. Irrelevant.
Are you trading next week's Next Pods draft?
[00:36:30] Speaker D: I guess he does.
[00:36:30] Speaker B: Yeah. No, next week's first round.
[00:36:33] Speaker C: Let's give him Skeleton crew.
[00:36:36] Speaker B: Why would we object that we're not gonna put constraints on this? You can pick anything. I'm going holiday special in the fifth round.
[00:36:42] Speaker D: I think that says how bad Boba Fett was. I mean, you took an awesome character.
[00:36:46] Speaker C: And made a show about it. Kyle liked it, remember?
[00:36:49] Speaker D: Yeah, that's true. Spaghetti West.
[00:36:51] Speaker A: Let's.
[00:36:53] Speaker B: Pick it. I couldn't even finish the freaking Clone War.
Finish Boba Fett.
[00:36:58] Speaker D: It needed three episodes with the Mandalorian to continue that.
[00:37:02] Speaker B: Yeah, it was great. It's part of the show. It's good. All right. Why am I defending them?
All right, let's go through.
[00:37:09] Speaker A: I didn't even pick it for the listeners.
For the listeners to kind of get a one.
[00:37:15] Speaker B: This is where you listen closely, listeners, because we need your votes. Text us. Text your friend and tell us who has the best team.
And thank go first.
[00:37:25] Speaker E: Okay, I have Empire Strikes Back, Attack of the Clones, solo Skeleton crew.
[00:37:35] Speaker C: There we Go. There's your four.
[00:37:36] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:37:37] Speaker C: Anthony.
[00:37:38] Speaker D: All right, Mandalorian, Return of the Jedi, Bad Batch and Rebels.
[00:37:45] Speaker C: Ian, I got Rogue One, the Clone.
[00:37:48] Speaker A: Wars Animated Series, Ahsoka and Rise of Skywalker.
[00:37:53] Speaker C: Pretty balanced team. I'll be honest with you. I have Revenge of the Sith and Or Obi Wan Kenobi and the Acolyte. And Kyle, you have.
[00:38:03] Speaker B: I've got the Phantom Menace, A New Hope, Force Awakens, and Last Jedi.
[00:38:10] Speaker C: I almost muted you in the middle based on the way that you were trying to say your teams differently and to make them sound better.
[00:38:17] Speaker D: I'd say what I will say. Marshall.
[00:38:19] Speaker C: One.
[00:38:20] Speaker D: In my opinion.
[00:38:20] Speaker A: I actually think.
I think these are relatively.
[00:38:24] Speaker D: I said, well, last.
[00:38:26] Speaker A: This was a good way of doing a. Just a different version of ranking Star wars content because I actually think we did a pretty good job of ranking it.
[00:38:34] Speaker D: I think the, like, round one, top one. The round one ones.
[00:38:39] Speaker C: There's maybe round one hits right there. Just looking at those five of Empire Strikes Back, Rogue One, Phantom Menace, Revenge of the Sith, Mandalorian. Oh, my God.
[00:38:47] Speaker D: What was the. What was the one somebody said was surprised they weren't around?
[00:38:51] Speaker A: One Solo New Hope, actually based on, like, where the rest of that ranks. I would actually take Solo over all the rest of them that are down there.
I would have taken Solo. I was actually thinking about.
[00:39:08] Speaker D: And I wouldn't have gone early, but below everything else.
[00:39:11] Speaker A: Well, like in the round he took Solo. That makes sense to me. That's where Solo feels. Feels like it deserves to be badge.
[00:39:17] Speaker C: Way better than Ahsoka or than Solo.
[00:39:20] Speaker D: That's what I thought too. So I guess. I guess Marshall and I are. And Obi Wan I would put above a Solo too.
[00:39:25] Speaker C: And apparently we have a little bit of trivia that's going on. On our next segment here. Kyle's got some Trivial Pursuit. Kyle, how are you feeling about Trivial Pursuit? You play it often?
[00:39:36] Speaker B: You know, I used to back in Big Game Guy. Yeah, I used to be a big gamer. Board gamer, specifically.
I like that I have at home the Lord of the Rings, Trivial Pursuit. I got the Star Wars Trivial Pursuit. I got like a Millennial Twitter Trivial Pursuit nerd. I've even made. I've even made my own versions. I made. Once Upon a Time I made a Mower a Mauer movie Pursuit.
Because my family and I, we made over a hundred different films throughout the course of our childhood and had our own annual award ceremonies and stuff. And I made a Trivial Pursuit with questions like, who won best picture in 2010? Stuff like that.
[00:40:14] Speaker D: Well, hold on. One thing.
One thing I didn't bring up in my origin. Did anybody do lightsaber fights when they were a kid? Because me and my buddy would do lightsaber fights.
We did that instead of. Instead of. Instead of making movies. What? Marshall's over here saying, like, yesterday. Is that what you're saying?
[00:40:35] Speaker C: Anthony got a sword yesterday? Actually, it was for my birthday.
[00:40:38] Speaker D: It was my birthday last year.
[00:40:40] Speaker C: It's a friend from work and the.
[00:40:41] Speaker B: Year before Marshall going to keep score? I'd be more than put our five.
Your four names on the sheet and start dropping tally marks or whatever the heck for every correct answer.
[00:40:54] Speaker A: Oh, man.
Okay, this is going to be hard.
[00:40:56] Speaker D: So we just shouted out.
[00:40:57] Speaker B: I'm going to throw trivia questions out, and, you know, I'm going to listen in my ear like a buzz. You know, let's not make it annoying for listeners. You know, people have us in their headphones right now, so just scream into the microphone as loud as you possibly can. That would be. That would be.
[00:41:13] Speaker C: Can you hear me, listeners?
[00:41:14] Speaker D: Scream the answer.
[00:41:15] Speaker B: You're gonna scream the answer? Yes. Like, don't make it piercing or anything like that. Let's be gentle on people's ears. And I will. I will. If there's a contestant, I will point to the winner.
[00:41:23] Speaker C: Okay, thank you.
[00:41:24] Speaker B: I'm gonna try to rattle these off. All right. Okay, so I've got a mix. I think that there's some stupid easy ones on here. So it's just whoever has the quick, it's not feet, and there's some harder ones.
Okay.
[00:41:36] Speaker A: Darth there.
[00:41:38] Speaker B: I'm trying to do these kind of.
You got to be ready with the. You got to be ready with the score.
All right, let's start. What desert planet does Obi Wan take?
Okay, I got it. Hands. Got it. Who was the original commander of the first Death Star?
[00:41:53] Speaker D: Grand Moff Tarkin.
[00:41:55] Speaker B: Anthony got that. What was Finn's stormtrooper does FN2187. Thank you, Marshall. Got that one.
[00:42:03] Speaker C: Oh, man.
[00:42:05] Speaker B: Which character says, I've got a bad feeling about this in the Phantom Menace?
[00:42:09] Speaker C: Darth Maul.
[00:42:10] Speaker B: Oh, gosh, shut up.
[00:42:13] Speaker A: Oh, Obi Wan.
[00:42:14] Speaker B: Correct. You got that. You ain't got that. Okay, what color is Luke's lightsaber in Return of the Jedi? What is big?
[00:42:22] Speaker D: I got that one.
[00:42:23] Speaker C: Anthony got that one.
[00:42:24] Speaker B: Okay, Anthony, that. You got the points here.
[00:42:26] Speaker C: I got the points.
[00:42:26] Speaker B: We're getting the points. All right.
[00:42:28] Speaker C: Keep talking fast.
[00:42:29] Speaker B: Maybe Yoda's actual name.
Oh, man. I think that was the End.
Okay. What species is Admiral Akbar?
[00:42:38] Speaker D: Mount Calamari.
[00:42:39] Speaker C: Holy crap.
[00:42:40] Speaker B: How you know that?
[00:42:41] Speaker C: It's a drop.
[00:42:42] Speaker D: That's. That's the old Republic game.
[00:42:44] Speaker A: Never have known that.
[00:42:45] Speaker B: What forest moon is the second Death Star orbiting? Oh, gosh. Okay. Thanks, Anthony. All right. Who. What were the clone troopers cloned from?
[00:42:52] Speaker A: Boba Fett.
[00:42:53] Speaker D: Oh, that's what you mean.
[00:42:55] Speaker A: Django.
[00:42:55] Speaker D: Oh, before you.
[00:42:58] Speaker C: Dane.
[00:42:59] Speaker B: Anthony. That was. That was a close one, man. Okay, okay. Let's see. Which Star wars movie features the Battle of Geonosis?
[00:43:09] Speaker A: Attack the Clones, Revenge of the Sith.
[00:43:12] Speaker B: That was a tie between Marshall and Thane, I think.
[00:43:15] Speaker C: I didn't even say it.
[00:43:16] Speaker B: Sorry.
[00:43:17] Speaker D: Thing can have that one.
[00:43:19] Speaker B: Give than, give than.
[00:43:21] Speaker C: I got it.
[00:43:21] Speaker B: Okay, okay. Okay. Okay.
[00:43:22] Speaker E: Thanks.
[00:43:23] Speaker B: What animal did Luke ride on? Hoth.
[00:43:25] Speaker D: Taunton.
[00:43:26] Speaker B: Anthony's got pressure.
[00:43:29] Speaker A: Kind of like makes your mind just drop.
[00:43:31] Speaker B: What unusual color was mace? Windows. Li.
[00:43:33] Speaker A: Pur.
[00:43:33] Speaker D: I got it, too.
[00:43:34] Speaker B: Anthony or Marshall? What's the name? Marshall.
[00:43:37] Speaker D: You can have that one.
[00:43:37] Speaker B: What's the name of Ray's home planet in the Force Awakens?
[00:43:41] Speaker C: Tatooine.
[00:43:42] Speaker D: Jaku. No.
[00:43:42] Speaker A: Jaku.
[00:43:46] Speaker B: Which actor played Lando Calrissian in the original trilogy?
[00:43:48] Speaker C: Oh, the guy who's Creed.
[00:43:52] Speaker A: Apollo Creed.
[00:43:54] Speaker B: Come on, guys. I don't remember.
[00:43:55] Speaker D: I don't remember. I don't remember his name.
[00:43:56] Speaker B: Billy Williams.
Who was the first character to speak in a new hope?
[00:44:04] Speaker A: C3PO.
[00:44:05] Speaker B: Ian. Got it. Very good.
Who shot first in the most asleep cantina?
I'm gonna give.
[00:44:12] Speaker D: Marshall.
[00:44:13] Speaker B: I'm giving that to Marshall. Okay, okay.
All right, let's see. What is the name of Darth Vader's fortress?
[00:44:28] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:44:29] Speaker A: It's like Morador or Morgor.
[00:44:31] Speaker B: It's. Well. Oh, Moriarty on Mustafar.
But it's called Fortress Vader or Castle Vader. I don't. I don't know. That's stupid. What the.
[00:44:41] Speaker A: Whoa.
Harsh.
Let's see what feisty.
[00:44:47] Speaker B: What race of beings is Jar Jar Binks.
[00:44:49] Speaker D: Jar Jar Binks.
[00:44:51] Speaker B: Thank you, Anthony. Anthony. Got that.
[00:44:53] Speaker C: I forgot what it was.
[00:44:55] Speaker B: What is the capital plan of the Republic?
Thank you, Anthony.
[00:44:59] Speaker D: I'm just throwing Atlanta and a city.
[00:45:01] Speaker B: What were Luke's aunt and uncle's names?
[00:45:04] Speaker D: Uncle and Operu.
[00:45:06] Speaker B: Last name.
[00:45:08] Speaker A: Not skywalker.
[00:45:11] Speaker C: Kenobi.
[00:45:13] Speaker B: Lars.
[00:45:15] Speaker A: Mr. And Mrs. Lars.
[00:45:16] Speaker B: Yeah, Lars.
[00:45:18] Speaker C: Bars.
[00:45:19] Speaker B: Okay. Okay.
[00:45:20] Speaker C: Get it? Mars bars. It's outer space. Yeah, I got you.
[00:45:23] Speaker B: What planet is home to Chewbacca and the Wookies?
Thank you. I was first.
[00:45:27] Speaker C: Thank you.
[00:45:30] Speaker D: No, it's Kashyyyk.
[00:45:32] Speaker B: Who was Princess Leia's adoptive Father Organa.
[00:45:36] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:45:37] Speaker C: Senator.
[00:45:39] Speaker A: Give it to Thing.
[00:45:42] Speaker B: Gotcha. What's the name of the furry creatures that help the rebels in the.
Okay.
[00:45:49] Speaker D: Who was that, Ian?
[00:45:50] Speaker A: Me.
[00:45:50] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:45:51] Speaker A: Dibs.
[00:45:52] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:45:52] Speaker A: Cannibalism.
And appreciate.
[00:45:55] Speaker B: What's the. What's the name of the actor who plays the guy with the darksaber?
[00:45:59] Speaker A: Oh, oh, oh. Breaking Bad.
[00:46:02] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:46:02] Speaker C: Pedro Pasco.
[00:46:03] Speaker D: No, no.
[00:46:04] Speaker C: Walter White. Brian Cranston.
[00:46:06] Speaker B: No, no, no, no.
[00:46:07] Speaker C: Jesse Pinkman.
[00:46:09] Speaker D: The moth.
[00:46:09] Speaker B: Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:46:10] Speaker C: Moff Gideon.
[00:46:11] Speaker B: No, that's the.
[00:46:12] Speaker A: The character.
[00:46:14] Speaker C: Gustavo. Freene.
[00:46:19] Speaker A: Frick.
[00:46:20] Speaker C: Gustavo.
[00:46:20] Speaker A: Mr. Frigg.
[00:46:22] Speaker C: Mr. Fring.
[00:46:22] Speaker B: I don't know. I'm asking you guys because I don't know the answer. I'm trying to remember that actor's name. I thought you might know.
[00:46:28] Speaker C: I know.
[00:46:32] Speaker A: Give it to Marshall. He deserves it because he's pretty close.
[00:46:34] Speaker B: Yeah, I was hoping you guys would know that one.
[00:46:36] Speaker A: He's pretty much got it. He's.
[00:46:37] Speaker B: All right. That's close.
[00:46:39] Speaker A: He's close, but it's, like, pretty solidly close.
[00:46:42] Speaker C: Juan Carlo Esposito.
[00:46:44] Speaker B: Pretty close.
[00:46:46] Speaker C: Right now I'm beating Ian by one, so it counts.
[00:46:50] Speaker B: Okay, that's it. That's all. That's.
[00:46:54] Speaker C: Just kidding. We both had five.
[00:46:57] Speaker A: Can we have a tie?
[00:46:58] Speaker B: Let's hear the score. Let's hear the score. Mar.
[00:46:59] Speaker C: All right, right now we have Thane with two.
[00:47:02] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:47:03] Speaker C: Nice.
[00:47:04] Speaker A: Anthony probably won.
[00:47:05] Speaker C: Anthony with ten.
And Ian and I both with five.
[00:47:09] Speaker B: Good job, gentlemen. Good job.
[00:47:11] Speaker C: Nice work, guys. Our next segment is going to be a little game that I like to call the rule of Two.
Each person will get two characters that I have paired pre show. You do not know the pairings. You don't know the people.
You don't know what your team will be. But I will tell you what the matchup will be. First one will be Ian and Thane.
Some people say they look alike, but this will show who the man with long hair and goatee slash beard is. But really, it's a beard.
[00:47:41] Speaker B: All right, have you ever told. Have you ever told Ian, like, the times that you've been mistaken for him, like, in public?
[00:47:47] Speaker D: I. I will go to Kyle's house and be like, oh, Ian. Nope, Fade.
[00:47:51] Speaker E: So multiple times at. At coffee shops and at the fish fries.
[00:47:57] Speaker A: Oh, fish fries. Yeah.
It.
[00:48:00] Speaker D: It really becomes apparent after, like, five minutes when we can't hear your voice. And we would have definitely heard Ian at that point.
[00:48:08] Speaker B: What is this preposterous?
[00:48:09] Speaker C: All right, let's talk about the game, guys. So each one of you will get two that I paired together.
You and your two characters will face off against another and their two characters.
Your job is to sell me and the other two players that are not in this matchup on why you should win. The winner of each of these matchups will face off against each other to determine the winner of the rule of two. Okay, our first matchup.
[00:48:35] Speaker A: I'm not a great debater.
[00:48:36] Speaker E: Do you want to give some reference to the rule of Two? Like.
[00:48:39] Speaker C: Go ahead, Thane. I'll let you do it for us.
[00:48:41] Speaker D: And make sure you get it right.
[00:48:44] Speaker C: You had the first overall draft pick, Anthony. Go ahead, flex on us.
[00:48:48] Speaker E: It's having to do with Sith. And there always needs to be two of them.
[00:48:52] Speaker D: Yeah, the Sith always believed there's one to hold the power and one to crave it. And that was came about by Darth Revan, reinvented or found by Darth Bane in. Do you remember who the writer that was? Kyle. I've been the Darth Bane books. Anyway, so Darth Revan onto darth bane ruler 2. One to hold the power, the other to crave it. And they always believed if you have any more than that, it goes against Sith nature. So Darth Vader, they did it.
[00:49:18] Speaker B: Always, always have a girlfriend.
[00:49:20] Speaker D: Always would be incorrect because Bane wiped out all of the other Sith. Just to get it down to two.
[00:49:25] Speaker B: Right. He reinstituted this rule. So always would not be factually accurate as you said it would be.
There were periods of time where the Sith were like a whole.
[00:49:34] Speaker A: Do you know the story?
[00:49:37] Speaker D: Right? I mean. I mean, you go back to Xr kun Nagasado.
[00:49:41] Speaker B: Right?
[00:49:42] Speaker C: So you made that from a Jedi? Pick your card. Any card.
One.
[00:49:50] Speaker B: Okay, Marshall is holding up blue Post it notes.
[00:49:53] Speaker C: Ian, pick your card.
[00:49:54] Speaker B: The dudes are drawing.
Okay.
[00:49:59] Speaker C: Thane, tell us your team.
[00:50:01] Speaker E: My team is Luke.
[00:50:03] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:50:03] Speaker E: Skywalker and Poe Dameron.
[00:50:09] Speaker C: Dameron the great. Two great pilots.
[00:50:11] Speaker B: Oh, yes.
[00:50:12] Speaker C: He's a team pilot over here.
[00:50:14] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:50:15] Speaker C: The two greatest pilots in the history of Star Wars. Probably.
[00:50:17] Speaker A: Yeah, that's fine.
Kylo Ren.
[00:50:21] Speaker B: Okay, boy.
[00:50:22] Speaker A: And the Mandalorian.
[00:50:24] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:50:25] Speaker B: Not bad.
[00:50:25] Speaker D: I like the Mandalor.
[00:50:27] Speaker B: Interesting matchup.
[00:50:28] Speaker A: It is an interesting mess up. One of which I will win.
Assuming Kylo Ren doesn't have a shirt on.
Because we both know he's invincible. She's invincible with those niplies.
His nipple sabers.
[00:50:44] Speaker B: Oh my gosh.
[00:50:47] Speaker A: Out and about. Okay. And look, Kylo Ren, he's got a pretty cool sword. You know, I'm just starting, by the way. I didn't even Know if there was like, a way.
[00:50:57] Speaker C: Go ahead.
[00:50:58] Speaker A: Please tell us why you should win Kylo Ren 1. You shoot a laser beam at him, he can clearly stop it, because that's what he did. And they just left it paused there forever. You know, he can clearly jump into people's minds and, like, seduce them.
[00:51:14] Speaker E: Yeah, but not Luke's mind.
[00:51:15] Speaker C: Yeah. Look out, Luke.
[00:51:17] Speaker A: Well, listen, who killed who?
[00:51:24] Speaker D: Neither.
[00:51:25] Speaker A: Neither. Yeah.
[00:51:29] Speaker B: So you're trying to remember.
[00:51:30] Speaker C: Do you have any other points you want to add?
[00:51:33] Speaker A: First off, Mandalorian, he had the dark Saber. The most powerful saber.
Well, maybe not the most powerful, but definitely the most unique saber. Cool. He held that. His armor can literally, like, deal with lightsabers. Unlike, you know, other things. I have a very high force sensitive Kylo Ren.
[00:51:54] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:51:54] Speaker A: Even in his moodiness, he can control.
[00:51:57] Speaker C: The rage and destroy.
[00:52:02] Speaker B: Yeah, people. Okay.
[00:52:04] Speaker A: He's just trying to win by saying.
[00:52:07] Speaker C: You'Ve heard a lot of objective facts about nipples.
Let's hear why your team of Poe Dameron, and the one and only Luke Skywalker will walk away with the dub.
[00:52:17] Speaker E: This is a very dark and light battle, and we know who wins light all the time, so.
[00:52:26] Speaker B: Well.
[00:52:29] Speaker E: I. I think Luke would be able to pair against Kylo pretty. Pretty well.
[00:52:34] Speaker C: We're saying both of these are in their primes. Yeah, everyone's in their prime. Yeah.
[00:52:39] Speaker E: And Poe against Mandalorian.
I mean, Poe can also wield a lightsaber. He did, did he not?
[00:52:48] Speaker A: Decently.
[00:52:50] Speaker C: And.
[00:52:51] Speaker A: And that was actually Finn, that wheel.
[00:52:53] Speaker D: I was gonna say. Yeah.
I didn't think it was gonna let.
[00:52:57] Speaker C: You keep digging there.
[00:53:00] Speaker A: In a straight post. Here's how they would match up.
Here's how this is gonna match up. Luke and Kylo are gonna go at it and they're gonna. Kyle's going to be able to hold his own for a while.
[00:53:10] Speaker D: For a little bit.
[00:53:11] Speaker A: I think he's going to be able to hold his own. Mando and Po. I'm sorry. Pose. Done. Mando has got way.
[00:53:18] Speaker D: Okay?
[00:53:18] Speaker C: He's got.
[00:53:19] Speaker A: Hey, hey. You're not in this. You're not in this.
[00:53:22] Speaker C: Fallback, Anthony.
[00:53:23] Speaker A: Not in this.
[00:53:23] Speaker B: Objection.
[00:53:24] Speaker A: Let's get in some shit you have. Mandalorian is going to be able to dispatch Poe. I think that's fair to say that Mando will win that fight. And I think Mando can beat Poe faster than Luke can beat Kylo.
[00:53:37] Speaker C: He.
[00:53:37] Speaker A: In which case, then Mando and Kylo come against Luke, and I think they.
[00:53:42] Speaker C: Can take him, tell us why he's wrong. Really quick. Give us a couple sentences as to.
[00:53:47] Speaker E: Why he's wrong and nipples because Luke has friends.
Help.
[00:53:56] Speaker C: Anthony, Kylo, Friendless, Anthony, Kyle, myself. We're all going to cast who our winner is going to be. And we're going to say it on the count of three so we can't influence each other. One, two, three. Ian.
Well, I got two, two, one. Ian, you are a winner.
Next matchup is Anthony versus Kyle.
[00:54:21] Speaker A: A little worried about Luke. When he said Luke, I was like, which one?
[00:54:25] Speaker C: Anthony.
Okay, Anthony, tell us your team.
[00:54:35] Speaker D: Darth Vader and Han Solo.
[00:54:36] Speaker B: Oh, this is. You put those two together. Did you do this on purpose?
[00:54:41] Speaker C: Go ahead.
[00:54:42] Speaker B: I've got Obi Wan and it looks like Crewy, but I think it's chewy.
So Chewy and Han Solo have to duke it out. Obi Wan and Darth Vader head to head again.
[00:54:53] Speaker D: That's rough.
[00:54:54] Speaker B: Oh, this is pretty straightforward. There's no way a human man, a mortal man, is going to defeat a Wookiee. He's a Wookie. He's gonna crush San Solo with one hand tying behind his back. And we also have had historical evidence suggesting prime Anakin Skywalker. Prime Obi Wan, who came out with the high ground.
[00:55:23] Speaker C: Are we saying Prime Anakin? Is that who is on your show?
[00:55:26] Speaker D: Darth Vader?
[00:55:27] Speaker B: Prime Darth Vader. He had already assumed the title Darth Vader at the time. And he. His butt whooped. He got smoked by Obi Wan.
[00:55:34] Speaker D: I think it was just Lord Vader at that point.
[00:55:37] Speaker B: Semantics. Okay, what kind of a point are you trying to make here? Obi Wan crushed him.
[00:55:45] Speaker A: And say no.
[00:55:46] Speaker B: No human man against a Wookie. I mean, on both counts, I think I've got the easy dub. I don't even need to get creative here. No contest. Try counter. But we could vote now. I think it's over.
Bring it.
[00:56:00] Speaker D: Boy, I do love the confidence.
[00:56:01] Speaker C: Anthony, this is the time where you actually get to talk.
[00:56:05] Speaker D: Thanks, Marshall.
[00:56:06] Speaker B: Bring it.
[00:56:07] Speaker D: So Chewie would win in an arm wrestling match.
Han Solo would shoot first so many more times before Chewie even drew his bowcaster.
Okay, okay, so one. One down. Okay, then we're on to Darth Vader versus Obi Wan Kenobi. And let's see. In their prime, if we're all remembering Rogue One scene, there is no way Obi Wan Kenobi could ever stand up to that Darth Vader.
[00:56:40] Speaker B: The.
[00:56:42] Speaker D: I mean, the chosen one.
[00:56:45] Speaker B: You were the chosen one.
[00:56:49] Speaker A: You lost me. I chose.
[00:56:50] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm sorry. I have the high ground on this one. It's. I think it's it's pretty fair, you guys. I feel like you're with me on this one. Obi Wan is the greatest lightsaber duelist that the Jedi ever saw.
[00:57:04] Speaker D: Darth Vader is the best villain of all of Star Wars. Well, all of movie Star wars, the best villain.
[00:57:10] Speaker B: He went up against Obi Wan numerous times, and Obi Wan played with them.
[00:57:15] Speaker D: Still couldn't. Still couldn't win.
[00:57:18] Speaker B: Obi Wan won every time. Obi Wan chopped all his limbs off.
[00:57:20] Speaker D: Okay, there's that one time.
[00:57:24] Speaker C: Andy. Obi Wan show.
[00:57:25] Speaker D: I'm trying to remember who. Who died.
Who died when they went up against each other.
[00:57:30] Speaker B: Obi Wan allowed that to happen. It was necessary to become one with the Force. Okay, this is strategy. He's. He's. He's playing chess while Darth Vader's playing checkers.
[00:57:39] Speaker D: Couldn't beat Darth Vader and then become one with the Force. Let the stormtroopers shoot him.
[00:57:43] Speaker B: No, this is. This is a bigger vision. He had to get into Luke's head. He had to be this guide, like, so. He's got a bigger. A bigger vision here. Everyone is a strategist. He's not just living on his emotions here and fighting based on his rage. Obi Wan's thinking he stands to have to head to Darth Vader the whole time.
[00:57:58] Speaker D: See, Anakin from the Clone wars show that you haven't watched was far superior to Obi Wan in the Clone wars as far as tactics as being a general, as a combat specialist.
[00:58:11] Speaker B: All those moves. Who do you think taught him? Where do you think he learned all that stuff?
[00:58:14] Speaker D: Anakin?
[00:58:16] Speaker C: Starting to sound like we're talking in circles about Lamar Jackson again.
[00:58:20] Speaker D: Let's go to vote.
[00:58:21] Speaker C: All right, Thane, do you think you have your vote? Yeah. Okay.
[00:58:24] Speaker A: Yeah, I got my vote.
[00:58:25] Speaker C: On the count of three. One, two, three. Anthony.
All right, so our winner.
Our winner is Kyle. And you will be going up against Ian.
Ian, remind the people who your team is.
[00:58:41] Speaker A: Kylo Ren.
The Mandalorian.
[00:58:44] Speaker B: Mandalorian.
[00:58:45] Speaker C: And let's hear your team.
[00:58:47] Speaker B: I got Chewbacca and Obi Wan.
[00:58:52] Speaker C: Go ahead. We'll let you start off.
[00:58:55] Speaker A: First off, Kylo Ren.
Nipples.
They're back, baby.
Second of all, Chewbacca versus Mandalorian. Let's start there. Mando would never actually let Chewbacca get close to him. He's got a freaking jetpack. He's just gonna fly up. Oh, and then Chewbacca is going to use his little fancy bow and arrow. Yeah, that's bullcrap. Because his Armor is going to be able to deal with that quite handily. And then he's going to land, and he's going to do the little thing like a grappling hook around his feet, whip him under, and he's going to take that dark saber and go put yao. And then, boom, he did. Kylo Ren, just like against Luke Skywalker is going to be able to deal with Obi Wan just long enough for Mando to come in, and the tag team duo is going to take over. And if you think.
You think that Obi Wan.
[00:59:49] Speaker C: Oh, he's so wise.
[00:59:51] Speaker A: He's so good.
At this point, you're talking about, you know.
You know, like, Kylo Ren's got a little hilt thing going on with his sword.
[01:00:03] Speaker B: It looked really cool in the trailer.
[01:00:04] Speaker C: It did look pretty when that first showed up. What the heck? Oh, God.
[01:00:08] Speaker B: My man.
[01:00:09] Speaker C: You think the saber comes up, you're like, wow, that's a red.
[01:00:12] Speaker B: Oh.
[01:00:12] Speaker C: And then goes another one. Boom. And I'm like, oh, my gosh.
[01:00:15] Speaker A: There three of them.
[01:00:16] Speaker B: We're so easy.
I love it. I love these shows.
Anyway, Obi Wan will destroy Kylo. It's not that hard.
[01:00:25] Speaker D: How long?
[01:00:26] Speaker A: Yeah. For? Yeah, come on.
[01:00:29] Speaker B: All right, so that's it?
[01:00:31] Speaker A: That's all you got?
[01:00:31] Speaker B: There's a hierarchy here, and Obi Wan is at the top.
[01:00:36] Speaker A: Obi who?
[01:00:37] Speaker B: Obi Wan Kenobi. Ben Kenobi, alter ego.
And this guy is really like the. At the summit. He's like the. The crown prince of lightsaber duelists. Okay. Everybody else is in Obi Wan's shadow. Everybody else who has good moves essentially learned them from Obi Wan or one of Obi Wan's bad ones. Like, he's basically undefeated in direct combat. This guy knows every move in the book. Plus he's got virtue and the whole light side thing on his side. He's brilliant.
[01:01:14] Speaker C: Virtue is your point.
[01:01:15] Speaker A: He's a good guy.
[01:01:18] Speaker B: He's portrayed by not just one stud actor, but two of the greatest of our time and our previous generation's time I have seen. So Adam Driver is great, but Obi Wan has two incredible actors to his credit.
[01:01:31] Speaker A: Okay, so your team is based on. This is the problem with your team. It's based solely on Obi Wan. Carrying your team versus mine is actually a way more balanced attack because I.
[01:01:41] Speaker B: Didn'T even get to the wookie.
[01:01:43] Speaker C: Let's hear your wookie.
[01:01:45] Speaker B: The Wookiee has the strength of 10 men. He can rip the Mandalorians arms out from there.
[01:01:53] Speaker A: Can he fly?
[01:01:54] Speaker B: He can fly the Millennium Falcon.
[01:01:57] Speaker A: Ever heard of it?
Too bad he's not the owner. That's Han Solo. Who you already took care of.
[01:02:05] Speaker C: Do you assume that Chewy inherited.
He was in the well, Thane. Anthony, do you think you have your answer for who. Who would win towards the mic so we can hear you guys.
Do you think.
[01:02:19] Speaker D: Do you have your vote or the argument?
[01:02:22] Speaker E: I think I got it.
[01:02:23] Speaker D: Yeah, I got it.
[01:02:28] Speaker C: 3, 2, 1.
[01:02:29] Speaker B: Kyle, what did you say? Anthony?
[01:02:33] Speaker D: Ian.
[01:02:34] Speaker E: Ian, Kyle.
[01:02:38] Speaker B: Y' all.
[01:02:38] Speaker A: How did I survive?
[01:02:41] Speaker C: I think Obi is killing Kylo Light work.
[01:02:46] Speaker B: I think people. People are high on the Mandalorian.
[01:02:50] Speaker D: That's. That's it.
[01:02:51] Speaker A: This is the problem, though. You can't take it just based on, like, who you actually think. Goodwin. You actually have to go based on.
[01:02:57] Speaker D: I had to go off the argument.
[01:02:58] Speaker C: I think my argument started with nipples. Twice.
[01:03:00] Speaker D: I know.
[01:03:01] Speaker C: It was awesome. You're welcome.
[01:03:03] Speaker A: You're welcome.
[01:03:04] Speaker B: What is this?
[01:03:04] Speaker A: How can Obi Wan.
[01:03:06] Speaker B: I've got the Millennium Falcon.
[01:03:08] Speaker A: That actually was not a part of like the Wookiees. Normal Persona in a hand toand combat.
[01:03:14] Speaker B: Okay. They're getting really dicey because they get.
[01:03:18] Speaker A: A freaking ship too with the Mandalorian. Like, if you're going to go there, right?
[01:03:21] Speaker B: Kylo Ren's got. It beats the Millennium.
No ship.
[01:03:25] Speaker A: Okay, you want to go. Okay, you want to really go?
[01:03:28] Speaker C: Like.
[01:03:30] Speaker A: Chewbacca's got a whole, like. Like, you know the Millennium Falcon. Kylo Ren had like a whole battleship thing going on there. What was that thing called?
[01:03:40] Speaker D: Star Destroyer.
[01:03:40] Speaker C: I'm just kidding.
[01:03:41] Speaker A: Yo, you get big over here.
Hey, I'm not done with you.
I see your Schwartz is biggest mom.
[01:03:51] Speaker C: How have we not talked about Spaceballs?
[01:03:53] Speaker B: I love Spaceballs.
[01:03:54] Speaker C: It's a very, very great movie. Also Family Guy, their version of Star wars is really funny too.
[01:04:02] Speaker D: I love Phineas and Ferbs.
[01:04:04] Speaker C: I haven't seen that. That's. It's good.
[01:04:06] Speaker D: Yeah, well, that was.
That was pretty good.
[01:04:10] Speaker A: Robot Chicken.
[01:04:11] Speaker D: I liked it.
[01:04:11] Speaker A: They did one Robot Chicken. Yeah.
[01:04:14] Speaker B: Oh, my Lord.
[01:04:15] Speaker C: Classics.
[01:04:16] Speaker B: Those are so good.
[01:04:16] Speaker C: Guys, anything else we want to leave on this pod? Anything?
What's your one suggestion that people should do between now and our next episode?
[01:04:25] Speaker B: Obviously you should go watch Thunderbolts.
We all went together to see it.
[01:04:30] Speaker A: We did go and see it.
[01:04:32] Speaker C: Friends from work.
[01:04:33] Speaker D: The first time all of us went to it.
[01:04:35] Speaker A: It was a good movie.
[01:04:37] Speaker B: Universally loved by all of us.
[01:04:38] Speaker D: We were all. We were good. We rated it. We were all within the 8 range.
[01:04:42] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:04:42] Speaker A: It was like if we took an average 8 would be a healthy point. Maybe it was a point.
[01:04:48] Speaker D: Maybe average was.
[01:04:51] Speaker A: Maybe at some point we can have like some listeners chime in if they need like a ranking, like explanation so it's clearly defined like what the ranking numbers mean.
[01:05:00] Speaker C: Can I tell you how I rank movies?
[01:05:03] Speaker A: No, let's save it for like a different time.
No, you do this to me all the time. Like let's put a pin in that. Let's come back so we'll come back to it.
Only reason I say that is because I would like to, you know, like, if we're gonna do reviews, I'm actually curious from like listeners if they would actually like, like, like us to do reviews of movies. Because that's something like I really like going to these movies and like talking about them.
[01:05:31] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:05:31] Speaker A: And so I would love, if people were interested, I would, I would.
[01:05:34] Speaker B: I think we're gonna give them a little more time to go watch this particular one for sure. But I would say that my personal.
[01:05:41] Speaker D: Opinion, an hour analyzing it.
[01:05:43] Speaker B: This is my favorite since End Game. My favorite Marvel movie since Endgame is Thunderbolts.
[01:05:49] Speaker D: It's not a whole lot of competition.
[01:05:50] Speaker B: But yes, there's been a. I mean there's been a lot of movies.
[01:05:54] Speaker A: Spider man technically would be in there.
[01:05:56] Speaker B: A lot of good ones. Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Black Panther and the, the latest. I liked the latest Doctor Strange movie and you know, a few others were, were pretty decent. But this one I thought was actually the best. And I'm really encouraged about the the future now, cuz Thunderbolts. Solid. Worth a watch. Worth a visit to the theater while it's still there. Go check it out, folks.
[01:06:14] Speaker C: Agreed it was fun and I'd say that it has everything. A little something for everybody. It can be a popcorn flick, but it can also be a little bit deeper and layered. If you're one of those people that wants to analyze a movie.
[01:06:25] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:06:27] Speaker C: All right.
[01:06:27] Speaker D: And it's, it's definitely true. It's true. Marvel.
I mean, yeah, you can, you can say that about that movie. It was, it was definitely a Marvel movie.
[01:06:36] Speaker C: Back to its roots, some might say.
Want to thank you for listening. To make it nerdy. M is for Marshall, A is for Anthony, K is for Kyle, I is for Ian.
T is for Thane. We're nerdy. You heard it here first.
We can't wait to hear what you thought of our episode and what you think we should talk about next.
Who knows what our next theme might be?
We'll see you next time.
